The first part of the intelligence needed is to understand the situation as it is. Normally people who are going to succeed in life are the ones who are able to observe the situation as it is placed before them. They work out the dynamics of everyone involved in the environment as they see it. It might not necessarily require that a person takes down notes but at the very least they must be able to create a mental picture of what is going on and consequently work out a plan for being involved in the situation. I am not sure whether this is learnt or inherited but many people are simply unable to observe a situation.
They see but they do not understand. The information is laid before them but the brain cannot process it or come up with coherent problem patterns in the situation. For a baccarat player this is virtual suicide. If you cannot understand the basic elements of the game when you first arrive on the scene, then the mistakes will start piling up. You need to be able to work out who is doing what and why they are doing it.

You will be told what a winning is and what a loss is. You will observe the conventions and protocols that govern the game in your area of activity. However the trainers cannot teach you about strategy.
This is something that you learn as you go along. They say that experience is a harsh teacher and that is absolutely accurate even when you are playing baccarat. If you have been one of these people who continue to play the game without any form of strategy, the amount of losses that you will make might just about concentrate your mind into thinking of an alternative strategy for winning.
Seeing Beyond Figures
Besides the wonderful charts and the mathematical calculations, baccarat is ultimately a game about people. A game about people has to necessarily be a game about emotions. Human beings are unique in that they are intricately involved in the emotional status of their fellow human beings. If you are happy, sad, elated, panicked or confident the other players will be interested because it will give them a clue about how they can beat you. They may not be able to read your hand or even predict your next move with any sort of accuracy but if they can work out your state of mind and emotions at the time, they may just about make the right guess.
